Sturgis Driver email (West and North Series Drivers Only)

Hello West and North series racers!

This message will be going out to the general ULTRA4 racer list tomorrow, but we wanted to get the information to those of you invested in a Regional series (or multiple Regional series) Points Championships as quickly as possible.

It’s time to get down, get loud, and go fast in Sturgis, SD, during Bike Week!

Registration is now open for the Black Hills Throwdown at the Buffalo Chip Aug 6 – 7

www.ultra4racing.com/registration

There is a TON on information in this email, especially since this is a joint race that combines West Series Race #3 with North Series Race #2, so please read through to the end for all the details.

SPECTATOR / CREW TICKETS

$30 for the weekend or $20 an individual day (www.ultra4racing.com/tickets) for spectator racing tickets (discounted youth and kids prices are available as well).

$35 for Pit Crew Members (www.ultra4racing.com/tickets) for the weekend and Hot Pit Access that includes USAC pit crew insurance.

If your Pit Crew member has already purchased an Annual Pit Crew License from USAC, they will only pay the $30 for the weekend admission fee (not the $35 admission + hot pit price point) but they will need to show their USAC QR code.

Drivers and Co-Driver entry is included in the race entry fee.

Tickets includes entry to the ULTRA4 Race only and are not general admission Buffalo Chip tickets / wristbands.

Admission into the track area will require a wrist band for everyone (Driver, Crew, Media, Spectator, Staff, etc…). While they will be available to purchase onsite at the ULTRA4 Racing merchandise trailer (Roxy), it’s faster and easier to do them all online.

CAMPING

Complimentary (free) dry camping is available for teams track side, but space is limited, so please travel efficiently.

Complimentary (free) dry camping is only available from Wed Aug 4th – Sun Aug 7th at 12:30 PM.

All vehicles must be out of the trackside camping by 12:30 PM.

Additional camping is available on the Buffalo Chip property if you plan to stay past Sunday. This camping is complimentary Wed – Sun as well, but if staying past Sunday at 12:30, you will need to have a Buffalo Chip Camping Permit ($287.53 for the week for the space, plus a per person fee)

Do not try to make your camping reservations online. It will show as full. This is reserved camping for us (ULTRA4 racers), but you have to call to get it.

All motorized vehicles (Motorhomes, Cars, Tow Rigs, Busses, Vans, etc…) will require a vehicle pass for entry to the race track area of the park, this includes the camping area and general parking area.

One (1) race car pass and one (1) vehicle pass is included for each driver with each entry and can be picked up with your drivers packet at check in.

Additional passes for your crew are available here: www.ultra4racing.com/tickets

RACING

The full race schedule is posted here: https://www.ultra4racing.com/race/60

We have limited track access from between Wed, Aug 4 – Sun Aug, 8th. Wednesday will be a work day for the ULTRA4 team setting up course and prepping for registration when it opens on Thursday morning. Since access requires a vehicle pass and a wristband (which you can get during registration starting on Thursday), please plan accordingly.

Racing will be a Heat style short course racing with each class having designated track times per class for practice, qualifying, heats, and main. Please refer to the schedule for your specific class time.

Number of laps will be finalized onsite and shared at the course.

As with most short course racing, there will be designated hot pit areas that will need to be utilized for each class. This means there will be moving in and out of the Hot Pit area between races. Please be courteous and respectful of teams while utilizing Hot Pits.

A Hot Pit wristband is required for entry and will be checked regularly.

PLEASE NOTE THE PARADE on the schedule.

After qualifying on Friday night, all race cars in all classes will be participating in a parade lap through the Buffalo Chip property and to the main stage for a meet and greet with fans.

This is a great way to build fans and ensure turn out at the race on Saturday, so bring your marketing machines, make an impression, and have fun being in front of thousands of new fans.
